Our school plans to remain open in all but the most exceptional circumstances. Examples of a school closure may be localised flooding or adverse weather conditions such as snow. However, if it is necessary to close or partially close our school the procedure will be as follows:

The Headteacher will consider the local circumstances and specific issues relating to the school. It is his decision whether to close the school. This decision will be made as early as possible (usually by 7am) so that information can be passed to School Transport.

In order to check if the school is open please check the following:

  • Local radio – Radio Cambridge, Star Radio, Heart FM
  • The school website
  • The Cambridgeshire County Council website page:

Cambridgeshire County Council School Closures page

If the school needs to close during the school day, due to bad weather or other circumstances, then the school office will contact all parents by telephone to inform them of this decision. Please ensure we have up to date contact details so we can contact you easliy.
